Steven "Hook" Herrera was born on April 22, 1960 in East San Jose, California. His older brother, Dennis, was bitten by the blues virus and gave Steve his first guitar lessons. He took him to many clubs, house parties, jam sessions and concerts in the Bay Area, seeing Charlie Musselwhite, John Lee Hooker, Junior Watson and Rick Estrin. On "I'm Gonna Move" Hook Herrera steals the show with an outright harmonica blow-out! A rousing night this must have been. When you factor in Denny Freeman on guitar, little doubt is left about the quality of playing and the great time had buy the audience. To relive the magic of that evening, just go ahead and add this CD to you collection.
