ANDY EGERT took his time for his second album with Brambus and chose the right songs. "Fire On The Crossroad" presents the guitar blues in a brilliant way and ranks him in the ranks of the greats in the international blues scene. Mainly influenced by Chicago & British Blues, Andy Egert (voc., git., bluesharp) convinces in the classic trio formation with Martin Stoffner (dr.) and Robi Schweizer (b) with rousingly arranged numbers by Johnny "Guitar" Watson, Robert Johnson, Alvin Lee or J. B. Lenoir, but also with his own numbers, which he wrote together with the "Endless Avenue" songwriter Ernst Eggenberger. The band line-up also benefits from the participation of the superb Tosho Yakkatokuo (dr.) and the soon to be legendary bassist Bob Stroger from the heart of the Chicago scene. The latter is also often part of the tours of the Andy Egert Blues Band.
