Fresh and powerful release featuring a rather unknown guitarist/vocalist who lives in Virginia. He comes from the gospel school. His singing is very powerful. As a guitar player, he plays an elegant style in the Southern tradition. The band grooves with verve, and the recording is very good. Memphis has a smooth voice, very easy on the ears. The chording and rhythms of these songs are excellent. Some of the songs have some great riffs and there is a good combination of instrumentation, from keyboard to mouth organ. Excellent.
