Like his pioneers, e.g. Johnny Winter, B.B.King, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Gary Moore or Rory Gallagher, Michael Grünauer refined his guitar playing over many years as an autodidact and thus practically enjoyed a "classical blues education". The fact that the power of the electric blues got hold of him at the age of 17 is due to the special expressiveness and emotional depth of this music and its "guitar-heavy" interpreters. A cure from the "blues virus" seems "unfortunately" extremely unlikely in his case to date to impossible. With a wink and subtle irony, many blues themes are "worked on", which quickly connects the concert-goers with the fascinating power, dynamics and true-to-life depth of the soul of the blues.
