Blue Heart Records is pleased to announce the signing of Mark Cameron. Following his award-winning 2021 album, Back from the Edge, Cameron returns with his eighth studio release, Nasty Business. His Blue Heart Records label debut is a fun, funky and sometimes mysterious ride through a wide variety of song styles and moods. Known as a prolific songwriter and charismatic front man, Mark Cameron has enjoyed sustained success over more than 40 years in music by delivering high-energy live performances along with chart topping Blues albums. Most recently, his 2021 release, Back from the Edge, received critical acclaim with recognition by the Global Music Awards. Previous releases include 2019's On a Roll, which reached number 5 on the Roots Music Report Contemporary Blues Album chart and was the number one album in Minnesota for 18 straight weeks. On a Roll was also voted the "best independently produced album" by the Minnesota Blues Society and has received glowing reviews from the worldwide blues press. The Mark Cameron Band was the winner of the "Road to Memphis" Challenge in 2017. "Working with Mark for the last eight years, it goes without saying that he is a devoted bluesman, who writes from the heart," says Betsie Brown, Blue Heart Records partner. "We love presenting the projects of musicians with that level of devotion. One of the reasons we are called Blue Heart." "We work hard to 'raise the bar' with each album we release. This album has delivered on the original vision of these songs in a way that does just that," says Cameron. "The icing on this cake is the guest performances from fellow Blue Heart Records artists and others who helped define the Minneapolis sound. My personal thanks go out to everyone who helped along the way."
