"Andhrea and the Black Cats" is a blues band created in 2013 in Santiago de Compostela by Ramón Figueira "Figui" (harmonicas), Andrea Verdú (voice) and Benjamín Vázquez (guitar). It was born as an acoustic blues band for small stages targeted into the reinterpretation of the very oldest classics in blues history. Their evolution led them to participate in the VI edition of the blues contest organized by the Blues Society of Barcelona in 2015. The quality of the interpretation, their tuning with the audience and the painstaking set list, which included classics such as "Wang Dang Doodle", "I Can't Be Satisfied" or "Down By The Riverside", made them winners of the contest. After that they managed to carry their sound on national level and access the recording of their first studio album, "New Roads", in 2016.
