Little Peter and the Mellowtones, an authentic and energetic blues, soul, and R&B band, draws inspiration from icons such as Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Wonder, Albert King, and Gary Clark Jr.
Their repertoire ranges from iconic covers of pure Texas shuffle to their own R&B compositions, both contemporary and classic. Their sound is enriched by their extensive experience and deep knowledge of the music they've been playing since childhood. From Europe's biggest stages to small clubs, these four unique musicians skillfully blend traditional, contemporary, and explosive music.
The band was founded by Pierre Cayla, nicknamed Little Peter. He has been playing guitar since the age of nine, and the first songs he ever performed were blues. He frequently travels to Austin, Texas, where he performs with local musicians. He recorded the album with his friend Lucky Gus, as well as Jimmie Vaughan's horn section, The Texas Horns, Stevie Ray Vaughan's drummer Chris Layton, keyboardist Gary Clark Jr., and others.
