Midnight Shift is back with their third release, Midnight Sun and a slight name change to Mike Mettalia and Midnight Shift with band founder and leader Mike Mettalia stepping to the front. The new album, Midnight Sun includes very special guest rock and roll sax legend Jimmy Cavallo who's 1951 single "Leave Married Women Alone" the band covered with Jimmy adding his sax and vocals to the tune. Other special guests helping out on Midnight Sun on harmonica are Steve Guyger and Mikey Junior. Also on board is Chicago Carl Snyder on keyboards and April Mae on guest vocals. Six songs on the new recording were also recorded at the legendary Sun Studio in Memphis in February 2012. CD comes a year after the highly acclaimed Rhythm Rockin' Boogie which rose to number 31 on The National Roots Radio Blues Airplay Charts and number 3 on the Pennsylvania Roots Radio Airplay Charts.
