A proud product of Melbourne’s eastern suburbs, Paulie clearly understands the rowdy, rhythmic drive of the Blues but to call him a Blues revivalist is much the same as calling T-Bone Burnett a sideman. Paulie Bignell has established a reputation as one of Australia’s leading songwriters, guitarists and performers with his rock'n'roll jump-blues band The Detonators. In 2011, he took the bigger jump and released his first solo album - Red Eye Flight. Teaming with 'The Thornbury Two" (Peter Beulke and Craig Hadlow), Paulie is now releasing his sophomore effort. Paulie’s songwriting is a stand out feature again.
