"Night Owl offers a program of well-played, entertaining music that ranges from soul and funk to New Orleans R&B..."
Established in 1990, the Mambo Brothers have carved a comfortable niche in the contemporary music scene by producing their own distinctive style that blends a variety of musical genres. The group's mix of blues, pop, and jazz provides their unique and unforgettable sound, brimming with authentic New Orleans flavor. Founder, leader, lead vocalist, and harmonica player Dennis 'Doc' Booth has kept the band going strong from the very beginning. The Mambo Brothers performed regularly at Peter's La Cuisine, a four-star restaurant in Fort Myers, where for over a decade they played to standing-room-only audiences. A local and regional following was established, solidified and fortified by mutual enthusiasm, loyalty, and lasting affection between them and their audiences. The durability and dedication of this bond is healthy and alive today. The band has opened for Dr. John in Orlando and headlined at one of Florida's oldest and most revered nightclubs, Tobacco Road in Miami. Their tour venues include The House of Blues in Myrtle Beach, SC; Walter Payton's Road House in Aurora, IL; The Gasparilla Festival in Tampa, FL; several Taste of the Towns events in Lee and Collier County; eight consecutive performances at the Miromar Outlets Third of July Celebration in Estero, Florida; a St. Patrick's Day celebration at Rookie's Bar outdoor venue; and has performed for the annual Cisco Food Convention at the Tampa Convention Center in Tampa, FL for six consecutive years, as well as numerous appearances at the Round House in Put-In-Bay, OH. The enduring nature of the Mambo Brothers' successful run obviously includes many more venues than those listed, but I think you get the idea.
