Alex Kilroy has announced a new EP, New Shade of Blue, due October 23.  The EP follows Kilroy’s debut album, Break My Chains, which was released in May. While that album incorporated blues rock, Southern influences, gospel, pop and melodic songwriting, New Shade of Blue moves toward a more traditional blues sound. The seven-track EP also includes renditions of Stevie Wonder’s “Living For The City” and Stevie Ray Vaughan’s “Life By The Drop.” Kilroy recorded the latter on August 27, 2026, in memory of Vaughan’s life and legacy.
