Chas Crane is a blues guitarist and songwriter who releases a wide range of music - country, through rock and blues - predominantly with a guitar base.Chas played in a number of blues bands during the British blues boom of the 1960s and 70s and sat in very briefly as an emergency fill in for a couple of London gigs with John Mayall. Blues is still his first love. He's now retired and no longer plays in public but still writes and records. His greatest wish is that other bands like what he does and include them in their live set. "It'd be great to hear what other people do with my music" he says.

Killers from Space Review by Richie Unterberger. Though billed to James Luther Dickinson, this is the same Southern roots rock musician who most rock fans know as multi-instrumentalist Jim Dickinson. He's the lead singer (and co-producer) on this record, but only wrote one of the dozen songs. The others were drawn from diverse sources like Doug Sahm, the Green on Red side project Howard Hughes' Brain, a member of his backup band, and several obscure songwriters who Dickinson's met and worked with in his various travels.

 9. Hard Times (No One Knows Better Than I) - 3:56
10. When You Wish Upon a Star - 5:41

Jim Dickinson's third album, in as many years, for Memphis international is very much a stylistic departure from anything he's previously recorded in a music career that spans five decades. Dickinson, producer; session man and cultural observer is, to say the least, one of the most idiosyncratic artists of our time. Here, he is joined by only by the rhythm section of Sam Shoup and Tom Lonardo for an outing that celebrates his non-rock and roll roots.

14. You're Alright - 2:45

Dave Cormier was raised on the hard rock and heavy metal of the 70's and 80's. After years of paying dues on the road, he stripped it down a bunch of notches to let his songwriting win the spotlight.
His melodies and lyrics are thick with a sense of pain and hope, desperation and love.. With Dave living three hours from the nearest interstate, his music speaks of isolation- a stoic existence full of harsh weather and a harsher economy- but always with an undercurrent of visceral optimism. Chennai: a smokey voice, ringing guitars and thoughtful lyrics highlight this very well written album.

South Side All-Stars brings together many legends of the Los Angeles blues community. These individuals represent the last vestige, in my opinion, of the black blues society in South Central. Since I became homeless in 1992, living at my dad’s trucking yard in the heart of the south side, I had no knowledge of the people that I have come to know, love, appreciate and work with over the last sixteen years. All of their talents impress me and inspired me to learn more about the blues and to commit to carry on their legacy.I’ve had the idea for years to do an album to let people know about this talent. So I sought out all of these associations. Because I knew them all, I realized I faced an enormous hill to climb. Even though they were associating in the community, each had his own ego and a great deal of personal pride. I felt that unless someone persisted, they would never be all brought together for the purpose of documenting our history. That someone was me. They all did it because I knew each one personally. I guess I earned enough respect from each over the years that they were willing to come into the studio together and do this. So putting some of my ego aside, I thought it was more than worth the price considering the immense talent that is brought together on one CD. Each of the fifteen musicians did one song backed up by Joe Kincaid and the Soul Brothers, well known for over twenty five years and familiar with all the players. Each performer has a distinct history of blues under his belt. The CD was recorded at Pacific Studios in Los Angeles earlier this year. After completing the process and listening to the final mix, at a party in South Central, I convinced Deacon Jones (former keyboard player for John Lee Hooker and Freddie King) to come aboard and provide the keyboard for Hideaway, made famous by King. This project is an immense history of the South Central blues community. So from the bottom of my heart and with great appreciation to all involved, I bring to you The South Side All Stars. The artists on the CD consist of: Blues Boy Jamie Powell, Sonny Green, Bobby Warren, Ray Bailey, Little Lee, Ray Brooks, Ser Stan, Tutty Gasten, Lester Lands, Oklahoma Ollie, Dr. Hank, Hollis Gillmore, Deacon Jones, AJ, Eddie Harris, Smokey Wilson and Joe Kincaid and the Soul Brothers band, consisting of Norman Weatherly (keyboardist for Rolls Royce), Roger P. on drums, and Rick Jones on bass and Joe Kincaid on rhythm guitar. Strings on all tracks by South Side Slim AKA Henry Harris.

The AB3 (the Andrew Burgess trio) "Rockin' Blues with Attitude".
The AB3 (the Andrew Burgess trio) was born when three friends, all seasoned life long road musicians, got together just to play some music and follow the direction it took them.  At first their specialty was cover songs, brutally twisted and updated to a guitar heavy sound. Songs which are unexpected such as Wooly Bully or Ohio. A ground breaking album was recorded at Just B.s' House of Rock Studio, "Contraband". Two years later another album was recorded, "Dubious". This was another altered cover album which is legend because the band decided not to release it. It is only available in bootleg form because the guys went on with an original album before it was released and have put all their energies into this new concept. Andrew Burgess: Andrew has played his music across Canada and the United States for over 50 years, spending years on the road with many bands such as "Aesop's Fables", "Father Finley's Wake", "Big Daddy & the Group", "The Feeling", "A J's Boogie Band", "Who's Your Daddy" and more. In concert he uses a Gibson SG, Marshall & Fender amps in tandem and no pedals, loops or effects. Just a musician playing a real instrument. Justin Burgess: A professional musician from birth. Starting on drums, Justin went on to earn a Bachelor of Music degree in percussion. He led bands all his life and branched out to guitar, bass and piano. He has written, arranged and recorded 8 original albums to date which can be purchased on www.cdbaby.com. He toured Canada with his own band, "Just B." & "The Slam Hounds" and toured the Netherlands with "Big on Venus" and "Thundermug". Justin played three tours of Western and Eastern Canada with guitar legend "Bill Durst" as well as concerts of his own and "The AB3".  Fans who are into bass, rave about Pete's smooth but aggressive tone. In concert he supplies the foundation of the AB3 groove, harmony and encouraging yelps and shouts.
