There was one full-length release – Risky business (1990) – there were two – Plugged (1992) – there were three – Live in Aarhus 2017 (2017) – and with 4 there are now four. Studio album 4 is the latest. Last year, Trouble Cats – guitarist and singer Martin Blom Hansen, harmonica player and singer Henrik Hansen, bassist and choirmaster Morten Brauner and drummer Henrik Thorsen, who also sings in the choir, went on a successful 30th anniversary tour, and amazingly, ¾ of the original quartet is intact. Only the fourth original band member, drummer John Simoni, is no longer around. He left Trouble Cats a few years ago peacefully, as he wanted to concentrate on something other than music. Then Henrik Thorsen stepped in behind the drums in 2016. The sprightly, responsive and solid drummer made his CD debut with Trouble Cats on Live in Aarhus 2017 (read review here), and he has fit in more than well in the orchestra, which appears as a revitalized, tightly knit, unstoppable unit, which is in constant movement and development.This is reflected, among other things, on 4, which consists of 13 varied, sparkling tracks, seven of which are new. All are, as usual, written by Trouble Cats except Kim Wilson's "Don't bite the hand that feeds you".
