Baby Isaac capture the essence of 50’s Chicago Blues & West Coast Swing. Influenced by such Blues greats as T-Bone Walker, BB King, Little Walter and Sonny Terry, the band have successfully developed their unique sound, loosely termed as ‘Goodtime Blues’, into a powerful yet dynamic mix of Blues, Swing, R & B and Jazz.
Baby Isaac bring together a broad spectrum of musical influence which they blend into exciting and varied sets. Playing a mix of original material and cover versions, the band present their own take on the emotion of Blues, whilst breathing new life into Blues standards.
Baby Isaac now have a regular circuit of venues nationwide including many of the country's most prestigious Blues & Jazz festivals. Maryport, Edinburgh, Dundee, Leith, Hawick and the Great British Rhythm & Blues Festival at Colne, Lancashire are regular annual gigs. The band have featured several times on BBC Radio, with an acclaimed inclusion on the compilation broadcast ''Best of the Lemon Tree'', and also on ITV’s ‘Best of the Festivals’ TV show.
