Hermann Posch is the leader of the band Fall in Blues. He blues guitarist, mainly acoustic country and delta blues / blues guitarist, mainly country and delta blues From Austria (Styria), plays in several groups and solo.
Born in 1961 in Mürzzuschlag, Styria, he grew up with seven siblings, some of whom also made music and introduced him to blues and rock music. As a young adult he came into contact with the music of Johnny Winter, and a little later the "old" blues musicians such as Muddy Waters, Robert Johnson and Sunny Terry were among his first musical influences. Originally a roofer, he only had time to devote to his music on the weekends. In 1982 Hermann Posch founded his first band, the "Coldriver Band", together with three of his brothers. Hermann Posch describes his first formative musical experiences as attending concerts by the Allman Brothers (1980 in Munich) and Sonny Terry & Brownie McGhee (1986 in Vienna). A little later, he also attended shows by Ry Cooder and David Linley (1995 at the Vienna State Opera).
