Ottawa’s two time Juno award winning guitarist Tony D (MonkeyJunk) is releasing his first solo project in 20 years on the Cordova Bay Records label. This long awaited body of music is an extension of who Tony D is as an artist and all of the influences that have shaped him along the way. His songwriting always leans heavily into showcasing the guitar and this album is no exception whilst also featuring the musical stylings of some of his favourite music collaborators from across the country. The guitar riffs will get you grooving and the lyrical content will bring you along for the ride. Tony is very excited to debut this album in his hometown of Ottawa at the National Arts Centre in an intimate and engaging performance of all the new material and more. Thanks to the support of Canada Council of the Arts and the City of Ottawa.Joining Tony for this evening of music will be Ottawa singer/songwriter, John Allaire. Playing an average of 150+ shows per year around the world, John Allaire is easily one of Canada’s top independent road warriors. He has won many awards, including the American Songwriters’ Association award in Nashville for best lyricist in 2009 and the Toronto Independent Music Award for “best live show” in the same year. Penguin Eggs magazine has called John "the next Canadian music legend" and "a new Neil Young".  Tony has been an annual guest at the Allaire Show and is thrilled to have John open for him on this occasion.
