Henry Charles Vestine
American blues rock guitarist. Long-time guitarist of Canned Heat.
Born December 25, 1944 in Tacoma Park, Maryland.
Died October 20, 1997 in Paris, France.
May not be all the original line up and " the bear"'s last but it holds its own with any of the Canned Heat albums that Alan Wilson didn't play on altho you will find some great harmonica work by a new member. To all you purists: hey, most bands change members, some like socks if you haven't noticed so get real and drop the bias. P. S. Do avoid any recordings by a whole new band called " Canned Heat", and avoid the disappointment. They are a great band in name only.....
There's a few good songs on this CD, but if you want to listen to Canned Heat I would recommend you start with buying the albums they put out between 1967-1971 when the band was at its peak musically and fame-wise. That's the albums from when Alan Wilson was part of the band together with Bob Hite, Henry Vestine, Larry Taylor and Fito De La Parra (the so called "classic line up"). This CD here is mostly for die hard Canned Heat fans who are interested in all of their albums.(https://www.amazon.co.uk/)
