A fixture of smoky bars who played over 200 shows a year, Bob Walsh took quite some time to gain recognition and secure a full-fledged recording contract. This success allowed him to collaborate on various creative projects with other artists and step back slightly from the grueling pace of touring, returning to a more settled routine. He participated in a concert from the "Cabaret des Refrains" series, where he performed the song "Pour oublier qu'on s'est aimé" alongside Sylvie Paquette in a distinctively bluesy style. By then, Bob had been performing on stages across Quebec for some twenty-five years; whenever the subject is the blues, he is always ready to take the stage.
*En Spectacle (Live)* is a live album by Canadian blues musician Bob Walsh, released on June 10, 1998, on the Disques Bros label. The performances were recorded on February 6 and 7, 1998, at the Le Vieux-Clocher concert hall in Magog, Quebec, Canada. The album brilliantly captures the charisma and energy of the Quebec blues legend's live shows.
