"Yes, we are talking about Paris, France, but forget 'Bal Musette' accordions and sidewalk Maurice Chevalier look-alike for a moment. We are talking serious Blues here. This ambitious 4 piece band is creative as hell, and has put all it's energy and feelings into this 9 songs. I heard them at the Espace Blues in the City of Lights when they opened for Mem Shannon tour in 2006, and I knew this gang would make it. And they did. This album is here to prove it. All originals (but for Red House and Sweet Home Chicago, revisited and darkened), the songs are the work of front man Chaz Pugliese, who handles guitar and vocals. Using their roots based energy and feeling, BOB delivers here a very convincing 50 minutes of true blues. The ultra strong rythmic foundation - iron casted by drummer 'Kid' Chris Da Costa and bassman 'The Mighty' (an understatement) Fabien Prévost - leaves plenty of comfort for Chaz to kick agressive solos, and for Rhodes and B3 wizard 'Professor' Fred Luccioni to deliver his message. Plenty of celebrity blues musicians have played with BOB during their live appearances in the top parisian clubs. Two of them have gracefully accepted to join for this debut album, and their presence give this album a special aura: sax player Nicolas Barbier (what can he NOT do?) and legendary guitarist Patrice Boudot-Lamot. Michael Dotson plays high energy Chicago style house rockin’ music, a rootsy and raw blend of shuffles and boogies underpinned by tradition, and loaded with fire eating guitar. His latest release “A fork in the road” (late 2010) is a traditional solo effort … a man wearing a hat, sitting in a chair, playing guitar and singing the blues. It features original songs with a tendency toward boogies. His first release “Lightnin’ in my pocket” (2006) was a blues sampler of original songs spanning the genres of primitive swing, swamp, and traditional blues with an energetic guitar laden delivery.
Born on the South Side of Chicago, he learned the guitar after seeing Muddy Waters on stage. Michael was Aron Burton's guitarist for four years then became that of Magic Slim for six years. Beyond those long collaborations, Michael also plays with Big Time Sarah, Grana Louise, Mississippi Heat, Big Jack Johnson, Jimmy Burns among others. An excellent studio guitarist, he also shows in this first album his qualities as a singer and composer on tracks like "Lightnin' in my pocket", "Narin' a drop", "Grampa blues", "Blues so bad".

Robert Peckman and his band know how to lay down a solid, soulful beat, with tight arrangements and a solid horn section. What's lacking from this Pittsburgh-based ensemble on their independent disc, Stirrin' Up Bees (Bonedog Records), is a vocalist that's suited for the material. Bandleader Peckham is by no means a bad singer (he'd be fine singing the blues with a smaller band), but his voice doesn't have the power or depth needed out front of this band.

Neal Pattman (January 10, 1926 – May 4, 2005) was an American electric blues harmonica player, singer and songwriter. Sometimes billed as Big Daddy Pattman, he is best known for his self-penned tracks, "Prison Blues" and "Goin' Back To Georgia". In the latter, and most notable stages of his long career, Pattman worked with Cootie Stark, Taj Mahal, Dave Peabody, Jimmy Rip, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Guitar Gabriel, and Lee Konitz.
Pattman was born in Madison County, Georgia, United States, one of fourteen children. He learned harmonica playing from his father, after an accident involving a wagon wheel at the age of nine left him with only his left arm.Inspired by Sonny Terry's playing and distinctive whoops and hollers, Pattman played on the street corners of nearby Athens, Georgia. He found regular employment in the University of Georgia's kitchens, and gained further experience and local adoration for his regular live performances at various clubs and festivals. However, his more general renown was minimal until 1989, when he performed at the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts in New York City. A meeting in 1991 with Tim Duffy, of the Music Maker Relief Foundation, led to Pattman playing with Cootie Stark, supporting Taj Mahal, on a nationwide Blues Revival Tour.Playing with the British blues guitarist, Dave Peabody, led to Pattman releasing three albums between 1995 and 2001. He also contributed to Kenny Wayne Shepherd's album and DVD, 10 Days Out: Blues from the Backroads, which was released in 2007. However, Pattman had already died of bone cancer in May 2005, in Athens, Georgia, aged 79.

From a vast pool of influences, such as Led Zeppelin, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Carlos Santana, ZZ Top, George Benson, Little Richard, Billy Idol, Eric Johnson, Michael Jackson, Eric Clapton, Muddy Waters, Howlin Wolf, Buddy Guy, and John Lee Hooker to name a few we've carved our sound. You take all of that and frappe it into our world and out comes a sound that is distinctly us. People keep surprising us with comments like, 'That song reminds me of Steve Miller .' hearing influences that we ourselves had not recognized. We play to please ourselves and are especially pleased when others like it too. Furious Slugs, it is really difficult to classify their sound. Ooze Blues Productions came about to further the cause of the band 'Furious Slugs'. They are basically a Blues Band whose blues ooze into all the other genres of music. A very eclectic crew. Furious Slugs is a very ambiguous even oxymoron name. I mean slugs are far too lathargic to ever be furious. But, for the band it expresses a humorous point of view. No one hears the name the same, and we have a lot of fun with it. We are not really angry folks at all. It is just all in good fun. Musical Influences Lead Vocalist and Bass Player Russ Allen's greatest influences have been Paul McCartney, Dusty Hill, Geddy Lee, Tommy Shannin, Jack Bruce, and Billy Idol Lead Guitarist and Vocalist Tom St. Louis' main influences have been Jimmy Page, Stevie Ray Vaughn, and Eric Johnson The Drummer, Kevin Anderson is a Charlie Watts fan and has styled his own drumming in the same rock solid manner. Al Jones was the first man to popularize American blues in Germany. The name "Al Jones" has always been associated with the blues. Butch has been singing in the Louisville are since the 60's . He's a well known and well liked personality in his field . He moves from Blues to Rock to Pop easily and brings his own flair to every song. He Has been with many local groups and knows all the area personalities . His style was learned from some of the best.Butch was a one time member of The Heartbreakers on Derby City. So this is Butch's full story: He started singing at high school in Louisville with a group called The Creations at middle school, then joined The Marvells when he was at Ahren's High School, Butch wrote a song 'Smile for you' for the group that they then recorded. In 1969 he joined The Heartbreakers. This group had been formed two years earlier by Eddie Haynes and recorded a 45 on Miracle records, owned by a local lawyer Ms. Ora Miracle. For the next couple of years he continued singing with this group. Apart from Butch and Eddie Hayes, Curtis (TC) Wiggins Elzy White made up the group, Elzy also owned the label Derby-City records. They recorded a further 45 on Derby-City, 'I've got to face it/How do you say goodbye', this was recorded at United Sound in Detroit, as Elzy love the Motown sound and was trying to get a Temptations feel to the recordings. the first side had Curtis on lead vocals, the second side with Eddie on lead, backing was provided by session musicians at United Sound studio. After the group broke up he along with Eddie Haynes joined a group called Enterprise The full line up was the aformentioned plus Kenneth Morton, Al Marshall and James Nes Neblett They had limited success in the Louisville area playing the clubs including The Frontiersman & The Palm. As an aside these two clubs also had record labels named after them, which Curtis Wiggins, after The Heartbreakers broke up recorded on one of them, Palm and release 2 45's. Frontiersman was the label that Leroy Barbour - recorded 'I ain't going nowhere and a song by local writer Phillip Mitchell 'Find me'. Enterprise did go into the studio and recorded a number of sides including a track that Butch felt they should have been released called 'Love bandit'. Tapes of this track got sent round all the local stations and had a fair amount of play for a few months, but no release was forth coming. With no real success with this group, His next stop was to join the house band at The Joe's Palm club called Crisis through the 80's he sang and played with them and a group called Area Code 502. In the early 90's he became the presenter of a TV show called Satrgazer, which showcased local groups. When this ended Butch felt that music wasn't going to provide him a living for much longer, so got a job at GE.Butch's love of music never waned, and a stroke of fate produced his last two sets of recordings. His immediate work mates were always playing blues, one day he asked them why the blues, not R&B with. They said 'because it comes from deep inside and has more feelin' Butch said to them I'm going to write you guys a song. Some weeks later he came to work with his guitar and played them the song, they were blown away and said he must record this and anymore music he had. So a year later in 2007 Butch found himself releasing his album 'Introducing Butch Williams'. This was a mix of soul & blues classics plus some songs of his own, including the self penned number 'Keep on lovin' me the way that you do'. This was recieved well and this track got air play around the world and the CD a 5 star Amazon rating, which he is very proud of. This was followed by another album in 2012 containing mainly blues tracks, called 'How do you like me now?' . Butch has now retired from GE and is passionate about helping conserve and promote the musical heritage of the city of Louisville, most recently working his old friend Ron (Mr. Wonderful) Lewis and The Kentucky Music Hall Of Fame to create a permanent section for the cities R&B artists.
