The blues band was formed in Rio de Janeiro in 1992. Its lineup included Ricardo Werther (vocals), Alan Green (piano and organ), Big Gilson (guitar), Hugo Perrotta (bass), and Beto Wrether (drums). The band performed in bars and nightclubs in Rio de Janeiro. In 1993, they released the CD "Blues Special Reserve" on the Interdisc label. In 1995, the album "Black Coffee" was released, with which the band achieved its greatest success. The following year, they toured the United States (New York and Chicago) and performed at legendary blues venues such as the Blue Note. The band regularly participated in various blues festivals both in Brazil and abroad. "Yellow Mojo Blues" (Eldorado) is a CD that brings Brazilian blues into the acoustic era. Gilson and Green, guitarist and pianist respectively, are part of the band Big Allanbick. With the help of blues musicians from Rio de Janeiro, they managed to prove that electrified classical pieces can be heard without being plugged in, like Freddie King's "Hideaway." While it doesn't add anything to the style, this work is a true feast, with portions of bluesy joy flowing from the speakers. ~ EDSON FRANCO
