About the Artist:
Forrest McDonald has been a musical force on guitar for the many years , and remains a commanding force at the forefront of today' blues scene. Forrest McDonald with Raymond Victor and Andrew Black showcase their mastery of the blues, accompanied by one of the hottest bands ever assembled. They are just as comfortable playing a shuffle, or a raw Chicago-style blues, as they are playing a slow heart wrenching Texas blues or a hard driven, fun rockin' down home boogie or a funky rock tune. Forrest McDonald, Raymond Victor and the Forrest McDonald Band consistently "rock the house" as they reach for that ultimate performance - and achieve it time and time again!
Originally from Austin, Texas, Forrest McDonalds career began over 40 years ago and has spawned dozens of recordings and international acclaim. Now based in Atlanta, Georgia, music critics consider the veteran musician to be one of the great blues writers and performers of our day.
Forrests alliance with Chicago native Raymond Victor, the bands lead vocalist and keyboardist, began in California in the early 1970s. After 30 years of performing and touring, they have honed their blues talents to a perfect blend increasing their fan base with every performance.
They are backed by veterans Jonathan Schwenke on the bass guitar and vocals; John McKnight on the drums and vocals and the internationally known Tony Carey on Keyboards.
Forrest McDonald was voted Best Southern Blues Guitarist (Modern) by Real Blues Magazine July 2002. Forrest McDonald and the 3D Blues Band were voted the "Best Southern Blues Band" by Real Blues Magazine for 1999, 2000, and 2001.
