Hailing from San Francisco, California, the band was founded in 2007 by guitarist and songwriter Anthony Paule with the aim of recreating the soul and blues sound of the 60s and 70s, always with a modern touch that makes them sound irresistible and full of energy. They recently added a new member, the impressive vocalist Willy Jordan, after their previous singers Wee Willie Walker, Frank Bey, and Terrie Odabi set the bar very high. The meeting between Willy, Anthony, and Christine Vitale happened by chance on the Legendary Rhythm & Blues Cruise. Willy and Christine discussed several songs they had both written, and from there a short recording session emerged. The chemistry between them was immediate, and after seeing him perform live, Anthony and Christine knew he was the perfect singer for the Anthony Paule Soul Orchestra. Willy is a magnificent vocalist who brings great honesty, energy, and incredible feeling to the role.
For those who haven't had the immense pleasure of seeing them live, you can now enjoy this album featuring eleven songs, most of them composed by Christine Vitale, Larry Batiste, Anthony Paule, and Willy Jordan, who also handled the production. It's a magnificent journey through the best soul music available today, always with a touch of blues, sure to leave no one indifferent.
