Aida Cooper is an Italian singer with a long track record. Born Aida Giulia Teodolinda Castignola, she was already releasing singles under the name Aida Nola and performing with the group Le 4 Carbonare back in the 1960s. In 1994, she released the album *Bitter Sweet* with her band, Nite Life—comprising Stefano Re (drums), Lillo Rogati (bass), Paolo Manzolini (guitar), and Luca Savazzi (keyboards)—and that album has now been re-released.
The album has stood the test of time remarkably well and is packed with soulful blues. A prime example is "Come Back And Talk To Me," a laid-back, soulful blues track featuring Aida’s powerful voice, which carries a distinctively raw edge. Luca Savazzi provides a wonderfully creamy soul sound on the organ.
