British Blues Hall of Fame Star, WILL JOHNS is set to release his 6th solo Album “ON TOP OF THE WORLD” in July 2026
The title was inspired by his journey around the world and finding himself alone atop the mountains and volcanoes in Guatemala.
JOHNS reveals “We all face challenges at some point in ourlives. Turning them into something positive and inspiring theblues has been my focus on this record”. The album features four originals and six lovingly reimagined blues classics including ‘Spoonful’, a duet withTOMIKO DIXON, granddaughter of the legendary composer WILLIE DIXON. World renowned drummer STEVE FERRONE lends his “deeppocket” groove to all but one track and WILL’S son CHARLIEJOHNS makes his guitar debut on “Moondog”. NOAH EASTappears with inspired and spiritually uplifting organperformances. Blending sublime global sonic fruits are special guests,Carnatic singing sensation, AMRITHA RAJAN from Kerala,India on “Move It” and Russian folk ensemble OYMEappearing on “On My Back”.
