An inventive rock-blues outfit that has made its mark over the last decade by performing at major international festivals. The band has developed a distinctive style by blending blues with Southern rock, funk, and modern jazz-influenced sounds. A genuinely American, dynamic, and engaging sound defines the live performances of this group, which has already released two albums: *Living on the Road* and *In the Name of Love*.
The rhythm section features the highly talented Alfonso Giunchino on electric bass and Sandro Esposito on drums. The band’s founder and frontman, Peppe 'O Blues Di Lucca—who handles electric guitar and vocals—holds a deep reverence for Jimi Hendrix and boasts an impressive list of collaborations with legends such as Otis Rush, Junior Wells, Sugar Blue, Michael Coleman, Shirley King (B.B. King’s daughter), Sammy Fender, Sharon Clarke (Tina Turner’s backing vocalist), Curtis Fuller, Danny Richmond, and George Adams. He studied with Jim Kelly, Al de Fino, and Kevin Eubanks, and has opened for acts including Art Blakey & the Jazz Messengers, Bobby Watson, and Stevie Ray Vaughan.
*In the Name of Love* – This album demonstrates greater maturity in terms of sound exploration and experimental recording techniques, reflecting the close collaboration between Peppe and the skilled sound engineer Salvatore Salierno. The album consists entirely of original tracks, with the sole exception of a personal tribute to Jimi Hendrix.
Peppe’s signature sound is infused with psychedelic and Southern-rock elements, as well as a touch of hip-hop in a song dedicated to boxer Mike Tyson.
