The Space in Between is about the conversations we avoid, the memories we hold onto, the laughter, the tears, and the place we all find ourselves somewhere between brokenness and healing.
There’s a message in the music, and a little piece of everybody in the songs.
Lady A is an award-winning Blues, Soul, Funk, and Gospel artist whose powerful voice, heartfelt storytelling, and commanding stage presence have captivated audiences for more than two decades. Based in Seattle, Washington, she has earned a reputation as one of the Pacific Northwest's most respected and dynamic performers.
Her performances are more than concert, they are experiences. Rooted in Blues, Soul, and Gospel traditions, Lady A's music speaks to life, love, resilience, and community, creating meaningful connections with audiences wherever she performs.
On July 18, 2026, Lady A released her highly anticipated new album, The Space In Between. Recorded at Dexter Allen Entertainment Studios in Jackson, Mississippi, the project features songs written entirely by Lady A ~ an important first in her recording career. Blending Blues, Soul, and Gospel influences, the album explores the conversations we avoid, the memories we carry, and the healing that happens in the spaces between. "There's a message in the music and a piece of everyone in the songs," says Lady A.
A four-time Washington Blues Society award winner, Lady A has been recognized for her outstanding contributions as both a performer and vocalist. In 2025, she was honored with the inaugural Patti Allen Performer of the Year Award.
Beyond the stage, Lady A is the founder of Lady A's Blues & Blessings Foundation, using music, storytelling, education, and community engagement to inspire, connect, and uplift others. She is a teaching artist with the Rhapsody Project organization, and also reaches audiences worldwide as a radio personality on the Walter Trout Blues-Rock Radio Station on the True Grit Roots Network (TGRN), where she hosts Lady A's Black N Blues (The B Side) and Lady A's Gumbo N Gospel.
Known as "The Hardest Workin' Woman in Blues, Soul, Funk & Gospel," Lady A continues to use her voice as a force for connection, healing, and hope, living by her guiding philosophy:
"Be Blessed and Be a Blessing."
