“3 Legs Chair” , the second album of the band THE STEEL BONES, has just been released on all streaming platforms!Also available as a physical version on our Bandcamp channel.It collects 10 unreleased tracks written between 2023 and 2024. Unlike the first album, we tried to bring out the roots of our music, aiming to emphasize our southern, blues, and country soul much more. The sound pushes a lot on rough arrangements while remaining direct and catchy, we let our influences take over, mixing the hardest rock with very direct harmonies. The change of line-up was fundamental. The entry of Mirco Agostini on bass gave a positive breath of fresh air to the band. His more than thirty years of experience has strengthened our rhythm section, and has also given an important contribution in the arrangement , creating the right groove with Simone Gagliardi. Irony played a fundamental role. The lyrics tell about relationships, social themes, addictions, and why not, slightly mystical reflections that deal with the passing of time. Before entering the studio each song already had a well-defined identity, it had already been played several times in some cases even in live performances, precisely to be able to capture its essence.The search for a vintage style was also fundamental, which led to enriching the album by introducing parts of strings, pianos and “old style” Hammond with the fundamental contribution of Andrea Gagliardi who can now be considered an effective member of the band.
